June 10:     Superb Supervision
Many supervisors are promoted into leadership positions because they have been successful workers.  The challenge for supervisors, however, is to effectively manage employees in order to accomplish work - an entirely different set of skills.  In this workshop, you'll learn:

  • Strategies for improving performance across the board.
  • How to create productive, cooperative, productive relationships with your staff.
  • How to communicate feedback for improved performance
  • Delegate work and motivate your staff to do it

  • How to create both the infrastructure and the interpersonal environment required in order for you to be a trusted and effective supervisor.

June 17:  Effective Interpersonal Communication

As a manager, you know that people don't work in isolation.  Good communication skills are essential for any leader to produce the results they want.  The good news is that you can learn these skills with a little knowledge and practice.  Learn to communicate effectively to produce congenial, productive relationships in your department!  In this fun workshop, you'll

  • Discover your own communication style, while learning how to relate to others based on their style.
  • Gain tools and strategies for those difficult communications that must be done.
  • Gain a perspective you can apply to take your workplace relationships to a new level of harmony and productivity.

June 24:  Dealing with Difficult People
Is there a difficult person in your workplace?  In this seminar, you'll learn how to minimize the effects of difficult behaviors on yourself and your group.  Specifically, you'll learn:

  • To recognize and handle classic types of difficult behaviors
  • Emotional control so you don't react in unproductive ways,
  • Communication skills for handling charged interactions, and
  • Political awareness so you can protect your interests.

July 1:  Presentation Skills
Knowing how to speak in front of people is a 21st century skill required by most leaders and managers.  Whether it's delivering a presentation or running a meeting, you need to know how to get your point across in a way that others hear and respond to it.  You can greatly simplify this part of your work, while alleviating the public speaking anxieties most of us experience.  Learn the skills that will make you a great presenter!  In this workshop, you'll learn:

A simple template for preparing any presentation

Valuable information and practice for delivering presentations

A valuable perspective on how your audience learns and processes information.

"Leading for Results was one of the best management workshops I have ever attended. From start to finish, Andrea engaged the class in meaningful activities. The information she presented was informative, innovative and helpful; you could tell she knew her stuff. The next day I went back to my office and implemented the strategies she proposed, and they were received very well by the employees I supervise."
